Why volunteer?

At ForestVenues.London there are lots of opportunities to volunteer for anyone aged 16 and over. Whether you want to learn a new skill, get some experience to add to your CV or do something valuable for the community in your spare time, volunteering could be for you. You don't need to have any experience to volunteer as our programme caters for everyone from beginners to experts, the young to the retired for every member of society.

Who volunteers?

Our volunteers are engaged in a variety of roles working both with the public and private sector and come from all walks of life. We offer a plethora of opportunities ranging from admin work, event management in weddings/ concerts/ theatre/ exhibitions, PR & marketing, social media, editing websites and magazines, graphic/spatial design projects, environmental landscaping, or growing our volunteering programme to raise the aspirations of our local residents and connecting them with a diverse network of people and opportunities in order to enhance the standard and quality of life of every individual.

You decide how much time to volunteer and specifiy how you would like to benefit - perhaps just enhance your CV, refining a core skill to lead to a particular industry or even a job! The possibilities are endless.

Volunteer porgrammes in a nutshell...

- Office Whizz
Impress the team with your social media skills, telephone manner, draft correspondence, take calls and offer a smile to clients, organise the photocopying, research and implement creative projects and grow your CV skills

- Event Ambassadors
Event management across our venues (whether wedding exhibitions, festivals, art & design exhibitions, family fun days at libraries etc). Volunteers can also attend a one off event as a volunteer.

- Culture Vultures
Curate, invigilate, organise talks and 'in conversation' sessions with artists and designers. Work alongside our Cultural programme offering exhibitions to fairs to library events or plan a project of your own!

- Book Worms
Research, attend, manage library events and activities. Perhaps organise author to come and and inspire the next generation or start a book club with friends and family.
